A unique exhibition opening on 8 September marks the centenary of the birth of one of Britain’s greatest architects, Sir Denys Lasdun, in the iconic setting of his masterpiece, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
The anatomy of a building: Denys Lasdun and the Royal College of Physicians runs from 8 September 2014 to 13 February 2015, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a must-see exhibition this one, as it gives an insight into the design process behind the Royal College and how Lasdun worked on all his buildings from the National Theatre to UEA, Institute of Education to Keeling House.
The personal effects and correspondence are particularly illuminating and the collection of architectural models breathtaking - if only his original design for the National Theatre had been built... you'll have to go along to see what I mean!
One quick thing - the word 'models' is floating in your text, is there meant to be more here?
This is definitely recommended for anyone with an interest in 20th century architecture.
